Live Music in Fishers

Fishers has quietly become one of the better places in Indiana to see live music — and a surprising amount of it is free. Here’s where to hear it, verified and current.

The Big Rooms

The Fishers Event Center opened in late 2024 and changed the picture entirely: 7,500 seats in the Fishers District, booking country, bluegrass, rock and contemporary tours that would once have gone straight downtown. It shares a booking banner with the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, so it’s worth checking both calendars at once.

Conner Prairie Amphitheatre is the summer home of the Indianapolis Symphony — Kroger Symphony on the Prairie runs from late June through Labor Day weekend, and for a lot of central Indiana families a blanket on that lawn is the definitive summer night out.

Free and Weekly

The Nickel Plate amphitheater runs free Tuesday-night concerts through the summer alongside its ticketed series. For a band and wings without a cover, Britton Tavern books rock and country most Friday and Saturday nights.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, 11655 Fishers Corner Blvd, runs live music every Thursday at 7 p.m. — solo and acoustic acts, no cover, families welcome. It is a sports bar rather than a music room, but a weekly Thursday slot is a weekly Thursday slot, and it is one of the few midweek stages in Fishers.

Festivals

Fishers Blues Fest takes over the Nickel Plate amphitheater on September 5–6 — two days, eight artists, free admission. More on the festival guide.

Open Mics & the Local Scene

We’re still mapping open mics in Fishers and the rest of Hamilton County. Nobody keeps an accurate list, which is exactly the gap this site exists to fill — and it means we won’t print one until we’ve confirmed it. Know one? Tell us and we’ll check it and add it.
