There is nothing worse than showing up with a guitar to an open mic that quietly died last year. So this page has one rule: every mic listed here was verified against a current source — the venue’s own calendar, a dated listing, or a recent article. Last verification pass: August 2026. Schedules shift around holidays, so when it matters, call ahead.

The Honest List: What We Couldn’t Verify
We looked hard at Terre Haute, Evansville, Richmond, Columbus, Kokomo, Anderson, and Hamilton County — and couldn’t confirm a single currently running weekly music open mic in any of them. Some are rumored (12 Points Public Market in Terre Haute, Mo’s House in Evansville, a handful of Region bars); some have quietly ended. If you run one or attend one, tell us — one reply with a night and time gets you listed in front of every musician in your area.
Recently ended, so you don’t waste the trip: The Verve’s Terre Haute jazz jam (venue closed 2026), Player’s Pub and Bear’s Place in Bloomington (closed), and Carnahan Hall in Lafayette (closed).
