The beloved, gloriously scuzzy heart of the Indy punk scene. The “Mel” has been pouring drinks since 1935, and its tiny corner stage has hosted thousands of punk, rockabilly, garage, and metal shows — including the long-running Punk Rock Night every Saturday.

What to Expect

A true dive in the best sense: cheap PBR, loud bands, zero pretension, and one of the most loyal scenes in the city. Cover charges are low, the room is small, and the OPEN HOUSE open mic on select Mondays welcomes musicians and comics alike.
