The Kickstand is a downtown Danville bar and grill on the courthouse square that has quietly become the live music room for Hendricks County. Two different things happen there: Fridays are acoustic duos — the venue calls the series Friday Night Strings — and Saturdays are full bands. It is 21+ for the music, non-smoking, and closed Sunday and Monday.

What to Expect
A casual small-town bar with a stage, a full kitchen and televisions — a sports bar on a Wednesday and a music room on a Friday. The Friday acoustic bills are the distinctive thing: two players, an early start, and a room small enough that the back of it is close to the stage.
Saturdays get louder. Full bands have run country, classic rock and southern rock, generally starting around nine and going to close.
It sits on the courthouse square in downtown Danville, about twenty-five minutes west of Indianapolis, with street parking around the square. The kitchen runs late on Fridays and Saturdays.
