The Brown County Music Center is the reason national tours route through a town of about a thousand people. 2,017 seats, opened in August 2019, purpose-built for concerts rather than converted from something else — and close enough to Indianapolis and Bloomington that it draws from both. It is the largest room in this part of the state by a wide margin.

What to Expect
A modern purpose-built hall: every seat faces the stage, the sightlines hold up at the back, and parking is on site (paid, but on site) rather than scattered across a downtown. For a room this size that combination is unusual in Indiana, and it is most of why the venue has become a regular stop on mid-size tours.
It exists because of a fire. The Little Nashville Opry burned in 2009 and Brown County went roughly a decade without a room of any size. The Music Center opened on August 24, 2019, with Vince Gill, on the banks of Salt Creek about a mile from the village.
The booking leans toward audiences who grew up with the acts — classic rock, country, Americana, and the tribute and legacy circuit — with comedy mixed in. The Fixx, with Colin Blunstone of The Zombies and Peter Asher, plays here on September 23, 2026.
Make a night of it. The venue sits minutes from downtown Nashville, and the bars and patios in the village run their own music most nights — the Corn Crib Lounge at the Brown County Inn has bands from 8 to 11 on Fridays and Saturdays, which lines up neatly with a show letting out.
