Downtown’s big outdoor room. Tucked into White River State Park with the skyline rising behind the stage, Everwise is where national tours land in Indianapolis between May and September — and it is close enough to the middle of the city that you can walk to dinner beforehand.

What to Expect
Capacity is 6,000, split between 2,500 reserved seats under a covered canopy and 3,500 on the general-admission lawn. The canopy is the thing worth knowing: a summer shower that would end a night at an open-air venue usually just makes this one louder. Opened in 2003 as The Lawn, the venue was rebuilt in the early 2020s, which added the canopy, better sightlines and a VIP club.
Come early if the weather is decent. The park itself is 250 acres with the canal, the Eiteljorg and the state museum all within a few minutes’ walk, and the lawn fills from the front. Downtown parking is the usual downtown parking — the Zoo lot and the garage at Maryland and West are the reliable options, and both are close enough to walk.
