What to Expect
The building is a mid-century “pre-Gothic” design by Edward Larrabee Barnes, opened in 1966, and Butler bought the seminary campus in 2018. The room has stadium seating and acoustics people comment on unprompted — it is the kind of place where an acoustic act does not need much help.
At nearly 400 seats it is the smallest of the three main Butler Arts rooms, after Clowes Memorial Hall and the Schrott Center. Worth noting the address: South Campus is a separate site from Butler’s main campus, so do not drive to Clowes by mistake.
