Turntable

A listening room next door to The Vogue, in the old upstairs Crackers Comedy Club space. Turntable opened in October 2024 as the small end of Forty5’s Indianapolis portfolio — the room where you catch an artist a few years before they need a bigger one.

What to Expect

Four hundred standing, or about 150 seated — and the difference matters, because the seated configuration is what makes this a genuine listening room rather than a small club. The front is a bar and vinyl listening room with a wall of album covers; the back opens into a purpose-built concert hall with a 24-by-12-foot stage. The stated intent is speakeasy, and it mostly lands.

Forty5 built it deliberately to sit beneath the 950-capacity Vogue next door and the 2,500-capacity Rock the Ruins series — a room small enough to start artist relationships early. In practice that means the bill here is often someone you haven’t heard of yet and will later claim you saw first. It also takes Vogue after-shows, which is worth knowing on a big night in Broad Ripple.
